The story begins with a series of brutal, motiveless stabbings across the city. Detective Jung Tae-suk recognizes the pattern of a serial killer, but his superiors dismiss his theories due to a lack of concrete evidence. Simultaneously, crime boss Jang Dong-soo is driving home alone one rainy night when his car is rear-ended by the killer. When Dong-soo steps out, the killer attacks him.
