The LM2596 is a widely used monolithic step-down (buck) switching regulator capable of driving a 3A load with excellent line and load regulation. When designing power supply circuits, simulating your design before prototyping saves time and prevents component damage. However, the standard Proteus Design Suite library often lacks a fully interactive or simulation-ready model for the LM2596.
