In a landmark case in late April 2026, police in Bali, Indonesia, opened an investigation into the man behind the videos. The investigation was prompted by a video titled "Asd Ria From Bali" ("ASD" standing for Asian Sex Diary), which shows the German man having sex with an 18-year-old local woman. The footage, which had already garnered tens of thousands of views, depicted the man picking the young woman up from a restaurant.
