The designer notes that when the Western world entered the industrial age, a new generation of typefaces emerged, exemplified by Paul Renner's Futura (first sketched in 1925), which reorganized classic Roman letterforms into precise geometric shapes. In designing DB Adman, the creator didn’t strictly adhere to Futura’s original proportions but instead kept some flexibility to incorporate new elements, resulting in a typeface that pays homage to geometric design while remaining thoroughly modern and functional. Db Adman Rounded X
is a typeface designed to be approachable, legible, and striking. It is a derivative of the popular DB Adman family, designed by DB Font. The "Rounded" aspect refers to the soft corners of the letterforms, which reduce harshness and create a friendly, inviting tone. The "X" suffix generally signifies an "extended" variant, providing a broader, more impactful character design compared to condensed counterparts.
