The protagonist, Ari , is a professional observer. He works night shifts at Gudang Gempita , a dingy rock club in Jakarta. His job is to record live sets for the venue's archive. Gudang Gempita gets a final closing notice. The owner books one last show. Kira wants to play a new, vulnerable acoustic song about her father's death. Ari, still the observer, offers to film it for posterity. She refuses: "If you watch me through that lens one more time, we're done."
