Resetting the counter does physically replace the waste ink pads. If the pads are truly saturated, ink may leak inside the printer, causing damage. It is advisable to replace the pads or install an external waste ink tank. Select Main and click Set

Go to the Operation or EEPROM section at the top of the tool and click EEPROM to print out a full diagnostic log confirming the reset state.
