The album was a massive commercial success. It debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard 200 with 207,000 copies sold in its first week, and to date, has sold over 8 million copies worldwide. But beyond the numbers, Loud gave us three consecutive No. 1 hits on the Billboard Hot 100: "Only Girl (In the World)," "What's My Name?" (feat. Drake), and "S&M".

Some deluxe versions also include music videos or remixes.

The deluxe edition, LOUD (Deluxe), was released on November 2, 2010, and featured five additional tracks, including the hit single "Only Girl (In the World)". This edition took the album to a whole new level, offering fans more insight into Rihanna's creative process and artistic vision.

Following the critical success of the introspective Rated R , Rihanna wanted to create a record that was expressive, upbeat, and fun. Loud achieved exactly that, blending genres to create a celebratory atmosphere.

: High-profile additions such as " Love the Way You Lie (Part II) " featuring Eminem and a piano version of the same track.

To understand why Loud felt so monumental, you have to look at what came before it. Rated R was a critically acclaimed, moody exploration of trauma and resilience. It was necessary healing, but Rihanna was ready to dance again.
